Object Mounting
Custom made mounts hold objects for their protection and dynamic display. All fabrication materials and practices are in compliance with current museum conservation standards. Materials can include brass, steel, acrylic and more and are selected with the prioritization of preservation concerns, structural integrity, and aesthetic goals of the client. The mounts secure objects by purely mechanical or magnetic means, without requiring alterations or application of adhesives to the object.
Mount Integration
While mounted objects can be made to rest on a table surface as a freestanding item, mounts can be designed and fabricated to be integrated within display structures such as vitrines, cases, or anchoring to walls. These mounts can also be prepared to be easily integrated into shadowboxes in collaboration with frame shops and similar services.
Conservation Storage Solutions
With materials and structural support concerns in mind, boxes can be produced for the long term storage of objects when they are not on display. A mount designed for both an object’s storage box and its display allows for objects to be installed or transferred to storage without removal from its mount and minimal direct handling.
